William Linder

Monsignor William J. Linder is an American community development leader, and founder of New Community Corporation.^[1] He is a 1991 MacArthur Fellow.

Life

He graduated from Seton Hall University with a BA, and from Fordham University with an MA and PhD.^[2] The New Community Corporation was formed in response the 1967 Newark riots. Joseph Matara is now chief operating officer, and is the designated successor.^[3]
